NEET and JEE Main photo and signature size
From the NEET (UG) 2026 and JEE (Main) 2026 information bulletins. The 2027 bulletins hadn’t been published when we checked; NTA usually keeps these limits, but read the new bulletin when it’s out.

Sources: NTA’s NEET (UG) 2026 information bulletin and JEE (Main) 2026 information bulletin. Both forms also capture a live photo by webcam, or by phone through a QR code. Make the fingers and thumb impressions sheet land between 50 and 200 KB and it passes both NEET figures; use Custom here with those numbers. JEE Main also asks for your Class 10 certificate as a 50–300 KB PDF.

How to resize your photo and signature for NEET or JEE
- Take a fresh photo. NEET 2026 wanted one taken after 1 January of the exam year. Stand against a white wall in daylight, ears visible, no mask. Spectacles only if you wear them every day.
- Choose it above. “NTA (NEET UG, JEE Main) · Passport-size photo” is already selected. Drag the frame so your face fills about 80% of it, from just above the hair to the chin.
- Click Resize. You get a 350 × 450 px JPG, the 3.5 × 4.5 cm passport shape, between 10 and 200 KB.
- Do the signature: sign on white paper, photograph it, choose “Signature” and resize to 10–100 KB.
- Print the same photo. NEET pastes the uploaded photo on the attendance sheet, so keep 6 to 8 passport-size and 4 to 6 postcard-size (4″ × 6″) prints of that exact photo, white background.
Why NTA rejects photos
- Face too small. 80% of the image should be your face. A full-length or half-body photo fails this.
- Polaroid or computer-generated photos are not accepted, and the NEET bulletin treats a fabricated or edited-looking photo as unfair means.
- A different photo at the exam. The live photo is matched with your Aadhaar photo, and the printed photo must be the one you uploaded.
- No second chance. NEET gives no correction facility for the photo, signature and impressions, so check them before you submit.
Your photo and signature stay on your device
The photo and signature are cropped and saved inside this browser tab, using your browser’s own canvas. Many “NEET photo size editor” sites upload them to a server; here they never leave your device. The page’s security policy tells your browser to block uploads, so the files can’t leave your device even by accident. The only requests you’ll see are a few to Google Analytics, our visit counter, which never receives your files. Privacy policy
Questions
What is the NEET photo size in KB?
Between 10 KB and 200 KB, as a JPG/JPEG, according to the NEET (UG) 2026 bulletin. The signature must be between 10 KB and 100 KB.
What is the NEET photo size in pixels and cm?
The bulletin gives neither. It asks for a recent passport-size photo with 80% face, including ears, on a white background. Passport size is usually 3.5 × 4.5 cm; this tool makes a 350 × 450 px photo in that shape.
Is the JEE Main photo size the same as NEET?
Yes for the limits: the JEE (Main) 2026 bulletin also asks for a 10–200 KB photo and a 10–100 KB signature, with 80% face on a white background. JEE Main asks for a colour photo; NEET accepts colour or black and white.
What is the postcard size photo for NEET?
It is a 4 × 6 inch print, not an upload. The bulletin tells you to keep 4 to 6 postcard-size colour prints with a white background for later stages, along with 6 to 8 passport-size prints of the photo you uploaded.
