IBPS and SBI photo, signature, thumb and declaration size
From Annexure IV of the IBPS CRP CSA-XVI (Clerks) notification and Annexure-II of the SBI Junior Associates 2026 advertisement. Both use the same figures.

How to make all four bank-exam images
- Photo: stand against a light, preferably white wall, look straight at the camera with a relaxed face. Keep “IBPS & SBI · Photo” selected and frame head and shoulders.
- Signature: sign on white paper with a black pen, in your usual running hand. Choose “IBPS & SBI · Signature”.
- Left thumb impression: press your left thumb on a black or blue ink pad, then on white paper. Choose “Left thumb impression” and frame it square.
- Handwritten declaration: copy the text below onto white paper in English with a black pen, then choose “Handwritten declaration”.
- Click Resize for each, download, and upload each file in its own slot in the form.

IBPS: “I, _______ (Name of the candidate), hereby declare that all the information submitted by me in the application form is correct, true and valid. I will present the supporting documents as and when required.”
SBI adds your date of birth after your name and ends with: “The signature, photograph and left thumb impression is of mine”. Copy the version in your own notice word for word.
Common reasons bank forms are rejected
- Signature or declaration in capital letters. Both notices say these will not be accepted.
- Signature doesn’t match. If the signature you put on the attendance sheet or call letter at the exam differs from the uploaded one, you are disqualified. Sign the way you will sign on exam day.
- Caps, hats or dark glasses in the photo, red-eye from a flash, or reflections in your glasses. Religious headwear is allowed if it doesn’t cover your face.
- Someone else’s handwriting. The declaration must be in your own hand, in English.
Your photo and signature stay on your device
All four images are cropped and saved inside this browser tab, using your browser’s own canvas. A photo, signature and thumb impression together are exactly what someone needs to pose as you, so they shouldn’t sit on a stranger’s server. The page’s security policy tells your browser to block uploads, so the files can’t leave your device even by accident. What is the photo and signature size for IBPS PO and Clerk?
IBPS asks for a JPEG photo of 200 × 230 pixels (preferred) between 20 and 50 KB, and a signature of 140 × 60 pixels (preferred) between 10 and 20 KB, in black ink and not in capital letters. The figures here come from the CRP CSA-XVI notification; check your own notice, as each CRP publishes its own.
What is the left thumb impression size for IBPS and SBI?
240 × 240 pixels at 200 DPI, which is 3 × 3 cm, between 20 and 50 KB, in JPG/JPEG. Use black or blue ink on white paper. If you don’t have a left thumb, the notices say to use the right thumb, and to name the finger used in the uploaded image.
What is the handwritten declaration size?
800 × 400 pixels at 200 DPI (10 × 5 cm), between 50 and 100 KB, in JPG/JPEG. Write it in English, in your own handwriting, with black ink on white paper, and not in capital letters.
Is SBI Clerk the same as IBPS?
SBI runs its own recruitment, but its Junior Associates (Clerk) 2026 advertisement uses the same sizes as IBPS for all four images, so the same presets work for both.
