InTheTab PDFs stay on your device

Merge PDF files without uploading

Combine two or more PDFs into one file right here in your browser. Your files never leave this tab, so it’s safe for contracts, bank statements and medical letters.

      How to merge PDF files

      1. Add your PDFs. Click the box above and pick two or more files. You can pick more later and they’re added to the end of the list. Nothing is sent anywhere.
      2. Put them in order. Use the up and down arrows to move a file, or the cross to remove it. The merged PDF follows the list from top to bottom.
      3. Merge and download. You’ll see the total page count and size, then save the combined file as merged.pdf.

      Good to know

      • Every page is kept. All pages of each file are copied in their original order, with their own page size and rotation. Text stays selectable and searchable.
      • Need only some pages? Merge first, then remove or reorder pages with Organize pages, or pull out a range with Split PDF.
      • Bookmarks aren’t carried over. Only the pages are copied, so the merged file has no bookmark outline.
      • Password-protected PDFs won’t open. The merge stops with a message saying so. Remove the password first, then add the file again.

Your PDFs stay on your device

Most online PDF mergers upload your files to their servers. Here, the pages are copied into a new PDF inside this browser tab, using the open-source pdf-lib library.

The page’s security policy tells your browser to block uploads, so your documents can’t leave your device even by accident. You can check: open your browser’s developer tools, watch the Network tab, and merge some files. How InTheTab works

You’ll also see a few small requests to Google Analytics. That’s our visit counter, and it never receives your files. Privacy policy

      Questions

Is it safe to merge confidential PDFs here?

Yes. The files are read and combined by your own browser and are never uploaded. We never get your files or text: the site has no accounts, and its only analytics, Google Analytics, counts visits without ever seeing what you add here.

      Can I merge PDFs offline?

The work itself happens on your device, so once the page has loaded no connection is needed to merge. You do need to be online to open the page in the first place.

How many PDFs can I combine, and how big can they be?

At least two, with no fixed upper limit. It depends on your device’s memory. Very large files take longer, so keep the tab open until it finishes.

Do I need to install anything or sign up?

No. It runs in any modern browser on Windows, Mac, Linux, Android or iPhone. It’s free, there’s no sign-up and no watermark is added.
